OVA

In The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, Ursula LeGuin retells the story of human origin as a cultural carrier bag that gathers energy and nourishment for the home, rather than a tale of destruction and domination.Ova is a collective of egglike vessels formed by lacing two domed halves together, a system that couples compatibility between opposing sides. Molded from clay and seamed with organic fibers, they resemble natural forms integral to the foundation of life. The individuals share a bulbous shape as a familial trait combined with unique features of color, size and texture. The protective outer shells are breakable with mouthlike portals to access an interiority held by women.
